A treasure trove of movie art - The New York Post

About the Collection

The Lomasney Collection consists of over 800 hand-painted film posters originally displayed in the The Royal Hawaiian Theater in Honolulu. Painted by artist John J. Lomasney and spanning over 50 years of cinematic history, they were acquired by tennis legend John McEnroe and displayed in his Soho, NYC gallery.

Mr. McEnroe donated this astounding collection to LIFEbeat, The Music Industry Fights AIDS to support our HIV prevention efforts. Each large-scale piece is completely unique and painted in gouache on 22 by 44-inch artboard. Many even incorporate original studio film stills! Now these one-of-a-kind pieces are available for purchase by collectors and movie buffs alike!
